Best of Mobile World Congress 2025: HONOR Watch 5 Ultra

The kind of battery life you can write home about

Smartwatches always have one thing you want them to be really good at, and that’s battery life, something that HONOR Watch 5 Ultra offers without even breaking a sweat. We’ve tested quite a few smartwatches here at Android Headlines, and battery life varies wildly from device to device. It’s so good on the HONOR Watch 5 Ultra that we had to make sure this was one of the highlights of it. In fact, it’s a major reason why we decided to give this watch an award at Mobile World Congress 2025 this week, where the company officially announced it.

In our review, we said the watch had “marathon battery life,” and we think that’s a very accurate description. After 10 days of use, it still didn’t need to be charged. That’s an incredible achievement for any smartwatch. Battery life is one of many things about the HONOR Watch 5 Ultra that are worth mentioning, but it was one of our favorite things about it.

Great fitness tracking to keep you working toward your goals

Fitness tracking is a main function of any smartwatch, and the better it is, the better the user experience will be. We found the fitness tracking on the HONOR Watch 5 Ultra to be very good. So, if battery life and fitness tracking are the main features you’re concerned about, this shouldn’t disappoint. The Quick Health Scan, in particular, is one of the standout features. You can use this to get an overview of your health, including things like ECG readings.

There’s even a morning report that shows you several of these metrics comprised of the data gathered from the day before. So you always end up with a consistent picture of your overall health. And that’s a pretty neat way to look at how healthy you are on the fly.

The watch also tracks over 100 different sports activities, which is, quite honestly, an astounding amount. While this isn’t the only smartwatch that tracks this many activities, many on the market don’t track nearly as much. This is a big advantage for the HONOR Watch 5 Ultra.

The stylish design makes it easy to wear with just about anything

On top of being very capable with fitness tracking and lasting upwards of two weeks on a single charge, the HONOR Watch 5 Ultra is also a pretty stylish watch. That should make it easy to wear with just about anything you put on. To put it another way, from the gym to the office, you should have no trouble fitting this into your outfits.

That might seem like an inconsequential thing, but it’s really not. You want your accessories to match what you’re wearing. The HONOR Watch 5 Ultra does this pretty well. All of these reasons are why we decided to give the HONOR Watch 5 Ultra an award at Mobile World Congress 2025.
